Peter Ward is the Managing Director of Peter Ward Homes, a company set up in 1978.
“I trained as a chartered surveyor before entering the housebuilding industry as a developer. We started converting and renovating existing properties before building our first house from scratch in 1978. Our first major development followed quickly, a 10 house site in Beverley. Since then we have built nearly 2000 homes in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.”
“We build a wide range of homes, including 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, both detached and semi-detached, as well as bungalows. Our philosophy has been to combine traditional design with modern features. To offer the perfect combination of functionality and style.”
“We continue to seek out prime sites which are well located and carefully laid out with the immediate environment and home owner in mind. We are very proud that a number of our sites have won the NHBC Pride in the Job Award. We are also very pleased to have won a number of awards for our housebuilding, in particular the British Housebuilder of the Year Awards in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1997, 19992004 and 2007. The 1999 Award was particularly pleasing as we were the Gold Award winner, number one in our category in the U.K.”
“At Peter Ward Homes we realise the importance of getting things right and we are constantly striving to improve our levels of customer service. It is not always easy when building houses and bungalows to get things right first time. But, if mistakes or problems occur, which they do infrequently, you can be guaranteed that if they are our responsibility we will rectify them. We have recently introduced a comprehensive range of new pre and post purchase quality checks to eradicate the majority of the problems associated with housebuilding. Our overall objective is to ensure our customers get a home they can be proud of and one which meets their needs and expectations.”
