Leading independent house builder, Beverley-based Peter Ward Homes, has once again walked away with the honours at the house building industry’s ‘Oscars’ ceremony.

The company, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, picked up the highest value award of any company from the Hull and East Yorkshire region at this year’s prestigious British Housebuilder Awards at The Savoy in London.

More than 350 people from the UK house building industry attended what is regarded as one of the highlights of the industry’s year and where quality of build and customer care is genuinely recognised.

Peter Ward, founder and managing director of Peter Ward Homes, was presented with the coveted Silver Award by TV celebrity Vanessa Feltz.

This follows a string of previous successes with awards in 1992, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2006 and the company remains the only winner from this region of the Gold Award for being the number one in its category in the United Kingdom.

Peter Ward said: “This is a terrific achievement for our company and further recognition of our commitment to build first-class homes across a wide range of design requirements and budgets. Everyone within our company has a part to play in this success and they should all be very proud of their efforts.”

Since completing its first home in 1978, the company has successfully completed many developments throughout East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and is recognised as one of the leading independent house builders in the region.

Peter said: “One of our strengths is that we build such a wide range of homes – two, three, four and five bedroom houses, semi-detached, detached and bungalows – and our philosophy has always been to combine traditional design with modern features. Our prime objective is to make sure our customers get the home that fulfils their expectations.”

Peter Ward Homes expects to build 400 new homes over the next four years as part of an on-going £70m programme at various sites across East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
