Hornsea site one of Peter

Rawsons Green at Hornsea, one of the latest developments by East Yorkshire house builder Peter Ward Homes, is proving to be one of the company’s most popular locations of the past decade.

While the housing market generally has been adversely affected by the recession, sales and visitor numbers at Hornsea have continued to impress the company’s marketing team.

The development is taking shape on the former Hornsea Pottery site at the top of Marlborough Avenue and as such has some nostalgic importance to the seaside town. Although tucked away in a tranquil area, these new homes are just a few minutes walk from the beach and the town centre.

Peter Ward, managing director of the award-winning company, said: “In normal times, no one would be surprised to see people clamouring to buy at Rawsons Green, but these are not normal times. Money and borrowing is tight but families still recognise a good deal when they see one.

“This is a real quality location and the extensive choice of new homes – and prices – means we have met most people’s needs and budget.

“We’ve had a good deal of interest from people currently living in the South Holderness area and from East Hull itself, people who obviously want to change their lifestyle by moving to a quieter, attractive location, in some cases by leaving the bustle of the city but without having to pay exorbitant prices.”

When completed, Rawsons Green will consist of 50 properties, including 2 and 3 bed town houses, 3 bed semis and detached and 4 bed detached, all designed in a local architectural style to reflect the character of the popular resort.

Buyers can still discuss with the sales team the range of incentives offered by Peter Ward Homes on selected plots, including part exchange, assisted sale and in some cases a cash discount.

Among the properties available in the New Year will be The Buckingham, a four bedroom detached house with single garage reduced from £199,950 to £195,950 and The Tetbury, also a four bedroom detached with single garage, reduced from £214,950 to £209,950.
