Beverley-based homebuilder Peter Ward Homes has recently been recognised for the helpfulness of its sales staff and the appearance of its sites at the highly coveted British Housebuilder of the Year Awards.

Organised by the Daily Express and endorsed by the National House Building Council (NHBC), these prestigious awards are prized within the housebuilding industry because they are based on the verdicts of the best judges of all – homebuyers themselves.

A glittering awards ceremony - attended by over 300 leading industry figures - was held at The Savoy Hotel in London with Changing Rooms star Anna Ryder Richardson presenting the prizes.

Charles Ward – the homebuilder’s assistant after-sales manager and son of the company’s managing director, Peter Ward – travelled to London with four colleagues in anticipation of receiving the awards in the 31-100 homes built per year category.

“It was my first time at the awards, so it was a great feeling to go there and return with two,” commented the 20-year old. “When you consider the amount of competition there is to win something like this, it really is a great achievement for the company. Hopefully, this will have been my first of many trips to the housebuilder awards.”

It is not the first time that Peter Ward Homes has been recognised for its achievements, as the company has been winning awards for its homebuilding since the mid-80s. In 1999, Peter Ward Homes beat off all the major national homebuilders to win the top award at the British Housebuilder of the Year Awards as the best homebuilder from all categories.
