One of Peter Ward Homes’ most successful developments of recent years, Captains Close at Goole, is fast approaching its scheduled completion date.

Of the 84 new homes originally planned to be built on the site, more than 70 have been sold and several others are currently subject to reservation, leaving just a handful still for sale.

With the remaining few likely to be snapped up in the coming weeks, the Beverley-based company’s managing director, Peter Ward, paid tribute to his construction and sales team for making Captains Close such a popular location.

He added: “The site has been developed according to our original schedule and plans and even though the housing market has endured some difficult times in the past few years, we have achieved our main objective - to provide a range of new homes to suit just about every budget.

“Throughout our time at Captains Close, the dedication and commitment shown by our construction and sales team has been key to its popularity. They have shown that the personal touch is today as important as ever.

“We’ve had several ‘repeat’ buyers, people who have moved from older Peter Ward Homes properties to new, and we hope this trend will continue as we open up future developments in Goole where we have been building homes since the 1990s”.

Peter attributed much of the success of Captains Close to his ‘realistic’ pricing structure. He added: “We believe we know our market well enough to price our new homes realistically, offering properties at prices that are in line with local wages and budgets, and we have also introduced a range of buyer incentives designed to give people every chance of purchasing the new home of their dreams”.

Peter Ward Homes is also developing a site off Hook Road in Goole and will be offering new homes for sale there during 2012.
