A retired Hull couple have scooped first prize in a competition run by award-winning house builder Peter Ward Homes.

George and Carol Buckton, of Birklands Drive, Hull, submitted their details into the company’s annual draw during a visit to Peter Ward’s sought-after site, Rawsons Green, at Hornsea, where the couple’s new home will be built.

This week, their entry was pulled out of the hat, winning them a bottle of bubbly and £100 shopping vouchers.

Mrs Buckton said: “Our new home hasn’t been built yet but winning the prize draw must be a good omen for the move. We’re really looking forward to moving out to Rawsons Green.”

The Bucktons hope to sell their three bedroom semi in Hull soon so they can plan their move to Rawsons Green, a very popular site where the level of sales and enquiries has been high in recent weeks.

Peter Ward Homes is also building new homes at Habrough Fields, Immingham, and Captains Close, Goole, and work has recently commenced on the company’s latest site in the village of Beeford. Details of that development will be announced in the next few weeks.
